Responsibilities: PROJECT TITLE: IT Informatics - Quality Assurance Lead (6) ? This person should have a minimum of 6 years experience in the health payer industry. This person will work with staff to determine, at discretion, which tasks and artifacts are necessary for each individual project. This person is then responsible for completing the agreed-upon QA tasks. These tasks will include: ? Participating in project planning and QA planning meetings. ? Providing guidance and QA subject matter expertise. ? Completing and documenting test executions to validate developed changes to one or more systems. ? Reporting status/issues in a timely and accurate manner, at the discretion Serving as a process improvement leader for the QA department, responsible for identifying areas for improvements, implementing process improvements, and ensuring long term compliance. These tasks may include, but are not limited to: ? Reviewing system use cases, business requirements, and/or functional specifications, and identify potential problems, omissions, and open issues. ? Developing formal Test Plan documents. ? Documenting formal test cases. ? Preparing or coordinating with others to prepare necessary test data. ? Documenting traceability between requirements/use cases and test cases. ? Creating defects for observed deviances from the expected outcomes. ? Managing defects through a defined process to resolution. ? Leading QA participation in sunset reviews.

Other Requirements: Minimum/General Experience: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 6 years of IT work experience. Testing background and hands on experience with test tools. Work toward certifications including: CSQE or CSQA preferred, professional test tool certification (Mercury, Rational, Compuware) Scope: Supports FEP IT Informatics Release Management by completing technical User Acceptance Testing for various small ad-hoc projects and Production updates, including those not covered by separately funded projects. This also includes preparation activities including, but not limited to attending planning meetings and learning the content of the projects and updates to build a broad understanding of FEP IT Informatics. Potential projects may include, but are not limited to updates to the HEDIS, Market Research, and Member Segmentation applications. Individuals in the category are expected to have the following skill set: ? Excellent SQL skills are required. ? ETL testing experience is a must. ? Business Intelligence knowledge is required. ? Experience working in a data warehouse environment is required. ? Good understanding of dimensional modeling is required. ? Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel experience is required. ? Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are required. ? Healthcare experience and related business knowledge is preferred. ? Cognos testing experience is required. ? UNIX scripting is preferred. ? Control-M usage experience is preferred. ? MCSource experience is desired. ? Star Sentinel experience is desired. ? Med Measures experience is desired. Minimum Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, Certification in CSQE or CSQA preferred, but not required.
